The Patriots enter the 2022-23 season ready to defend their IAAM C Conference Championship. They’ll do so with plenty of returners, led by a pair of seniors in Mackenzie Hopkins and Tori Novak. The duo, alongside returning junior Annie Bennett, swam JC to victory in the opening 200-yard medley relay at last season's conference championship meet. Hopkins also took first in the 100 butterfly, while Novak finished runner-up in the 200 individual medley and 500 free. Their success helped the Patriots capture their first girls' conference swimming title since 2000.
Sydney Field, Julia Dominick and Madeline Kimmel will look to make an impact as newcomers for the girls' team this season.
“My goal coming into this season is to sustain the success the girls’ program had last season while continuing to build up the boys’ team,” said Patriots Head Coach Jessica Jelen-Joy. “The girls have already picked up two wins and the boys’ team has doubled in size from last year. I am excited to see what can happen come February and feel like both groups will make strides in different areas this season.”
