The Varsity Field Hockey team (1-3) picked up their first win of the season defeating Glenelg Country School 2-1 in Glenelg on Tuesday afternoon. Ellie Bruggeman scored the first goal assisted by Emma Campitelli with 9:41 remaining in the first half. Sam Wollman tied the game at the 20:10 mark in the second half. Kendall Rittmeyer responded with the game winning goal with 7:22 to go after collecting the ball off the GK pads. Alexis Loder recorded 6 saves and Ishika Kathuda had 4 saves for the Dragons.
The JV field hockey team also beat Glenelg Country School 8-0. Scoring for the Patriots were sophomores Paige Hare, Lauren Rossi and Ashley Amatto. Adding to the scoring assult were freshmen Mary Wycke, Kamryn Rittmyer and Gabbi Meyer each with one goal, while Sydney Moore finished the attack by scoring two more. Player of the game was sophomore Paige Hare who out did herself with one goal and three assists, not to mention multiple tackles, stops, and loose ball interceptions.
